Cherry Hill, NJ – Authorities have arrested a local man in connection with a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in the parking lot of Liberty Bell Plaza, located at 2083 Route 70 East in Cherry Hill. The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Cherry Hill Police Department confirmed the arrest of 52-year-old Terrence Roberts, who faces multiple serious charges including 1st-degree attempted murder, 2nd-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, 2nd-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and 4th-degree possession of a large capacity magazine.
The incident unfolded at approximately 3:53 p.m. when Cherry Hill Police officers responded to reports of a person shot in a vehicle. Upon arrival, they discovered a 61-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.
Investigators determined that the shooting occurred when Roberts drove a vehicle alongside the victim’s car in the plaza parking lot and discharged a firearm. Utilizing surveillance footage, detectives were able to track Roberts to his residence. A search conducted the following day led to the seizure of multiple firearms. Roberts was subsequently taken into custody on April 16, 2026, and later remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
